Those students who have completed their study will benefit from the new immigration route for students in the UK has been introduced. It is named the “Graduate Immigration Route”, it is applicable from 1 July 2021. It is also known as a post-study work visa. The eligibility criteria for a graduate immigration route includes:
- An international student must have obtained a graduate degree in the UK or completed another course eligible for this route
- A Higher Education Provider (a student sponsor with a good compliance record) must have provided such a course
- The applicant must not have obtained a leave to enter the UK on the Graduate route or Doctorate Extension Scheme (DES)
- The applicant has spent a minimum period in the UK while studying there
- The applicant must be residing in the UK at the time of submitting this application (Under a valid leave as a Student or Tier 4 Student)
